REALGINE SOLUTION / catalogs

Product Catalogs & Variants

Keep product families, SKUs, and meaningful variations connected to a consistent presentation and update process.

SOLUTION SCOPE / 01

Extend one approved product across the family.

Extend an approved product foundation across product families, SKUs, and variants while keeping the presentation and update process consistent.

FOR PRODUCT OPERATIONS, CATALOG & COMMERCIAL TEAMS

Keep the shared product story. Make the differences clear.

A product family can reuse an agreed presentation pattern while showing the geometry, finish, and information that distinguish each approved variant.

One reviewed product family
  1. 01

    Define the family

Separate shared components from meaningful product differences.

  2. 02

    Map the variants

Connect each approved option to the correct product information.

  3. 03

    Maintain the range

Review additions and revisions across the agreed catalog scope.

Illustrative catalog structure. Reuse depends on asset readiness and actual similarity between products.
  • Product families
  • Variant mapping
  • Shared presentation
  • Product differences
  • Version review
  • Hosted distribution

PRODUCT REALITY / 02

Map the product range before scaling the experience.

We identify what can be reused, what needs its own build, and how additions will be approved and maintained.

  1. 01

    Review

Assess the family structure, SKU list, asset readiness, option rules, and required destinations.

  2. 02

    Build

Prepare the agreed products and variant logic using consistent presentation patterns and approved information.

  3. 03

    Operate

Manage scoped updates, version checks, and new-product requests across the approved range.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE / 03

A product family that stays connected.

A structured commercial experience with clear ownership of the product information and ongoing changes.

A defined product range.

An agreed list of products, variants, and source references, with preparation requirements established before build.

Consistent product experiences.

Shared presentation patterns and commissioned variant logic, adapted to the differences that matter in each product.

Continuing catalog operations.

Hosted distribution, version management, QA, and update support within the selected commercial scope.

Asset preparation, one-time setup, and ongoing service are scoped separately. Deliverables, product capacity, and update allowances are agreed before work begins.

Scale by product scope—not by an unlimited-library promise.

A few related products and a governed catalog engine need different operating capacity.

FOCUSED PRODUCT RANGE

Build the foundation first.

  • Launch or Advanced may fit a small related-product scope, subject to plan limits.
  • Additional products and build versions have separately quoted setup work.
  • Geometry similarity helps determine reuse; a new SKU is not automatically a free variation.

COMMERCIAL CATALOG

Operate a product family.

  • Commercial supports product-family systems and scoped variant/SKU logic.
  • Updates, QA, and version management follow the agreed operating plan.
  • Larger catalogs, multiple teams, PIM/ERP connections, and governed delivery are evaluated through Enterprise scoping.

REALGINE is not presented as an unlimited self-serve digital asset library. Product capacity, preparation, data mapping, and integrations are agreed separately.

BEFORE YOU START / 04

A few practical answers.

What this solution includes, what needs its own scope, and how to plan the next step.

What is the difference between a product and a variant?

The scope considers whether an option reuses the same prepared geometry and interactions or requires new assets, behavior, or presentation work. SKU count alone does not establish build effort. We review the family structure before agreeing product capacity and price.

Can existing geometry be reused?

Where product structure, permissions, and file quality allow it, shared geometry and presentation patterns can support related experiences. Each addition still needs its materials, information, behavior, and delivery checked; reuse is assessed rather than guaranteed.

Will it synchronize automatically with our PIM or ERP?

Not by default. Data ownership, identifiers, field mapping, update frequency, and integration feasibility must be agreed. APIs, feeds, or synchronization work are separately scoped, generally as part of an enterprise engagement.

What happens when our catalog grows?

We assess new products against the current plan’s capacity, asset readiness, and interaction requirements. Additional setup and any recurring fee changes are approved before work begins. Larger ranges may need a Commercial or Enterprise operating scope.
